THE DUST OF WONDERLAND wins the Lambda Literary Award for SF/Fantasy/Horror! The Lambda Literary Awards seek to recognize excellence in the field of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender literature. Each year, over 80 judges – writers, booksellers, librarians, journalists – assess the entries in more than 20 categories.

 “Jackie the Slayer” appears in the anthology Jack Haringa Must Die!, a fundraising project for the Shirley Jackson Awards. The anthology – edited by Nicholas Kaufmann and published by Merricat Publications – compiles an assortment of blog entries, written by such folks as Jack Ketchum, Christopher Golden, Brian Keene, James A. Moore, Paul Tremblay, Laird Barron and dozens of others who imagined some untimely and unpleasant deaths for Mr. Haringa.

“Tuesday” a work of zombie flash fiction will appear in the Bits of the Dead anthology from Coscom Entertainment, edited by Keith Gouveia. Additional contributors include Piers Anthony, Nick Cato, Nancy Kilpatrick, Michael Laimo, James Newman, Steven Savile, Julia Sevin, R.J. Sevin, Nate Southard, Jeff Strand, and Tim Waggoner.

My Bram Stoker Award-nominated story “An Apiary of White Bees,” which originally appeared in the anthology Inferno, edited by Ellen Datlow, will be reprinted in Wilde Stories 2008: The Best of the Year’s Gay Speculative Fiction.  The anthology is edited by Steve Berman and will be published by Lethe Press. “The Good and Gone” will appear in Killers an anthology from Swimming Kangaroo Books, edited by Colin Harvey.  Ordering information is forthcoming.

“I’m Your Violence” will appear in Unspeakable Horror: From the Shadows of the Closet, edited by Vince A. Liaguno and Chad Helder. MASON, a supernatural thriller for young adults (under the Thomas Pendleton name), is now available for pre-order.

My short story "I'm Your Violence" will appear in a very cool anthology project to be published this fall. Official announcement will be coming soon.

Doorways Magazine Winter Issue is available now. It features a new piece of my short fiction "Turtle" and an interview, plus a lot of great material from folks like Mort Castle, Di Barron, James Dorr and others.

HarperCollins has acquired my novel EXILED in a three-book deal. EXILED is the first book in an urban fantasy trilogy for young adults, which follows a group of estranged teenagers cursed from birth with startling and dangerous powers. Release dates are forthcoming.

My story “Turtle” will appear in the Winter Issue of Doorways Magazine. Additionally, they will have an in-depth interview with me, discussing THE DUST OF WONDERLAND, WICKED DEAD, MASON and coffee.

My short story “The Good and Gone” has been accepted by a British anthology. I'll spill all when I can.

My co-writer on the WICKED DEAD series, Stefan Petrucha, and I eat pizza and discuss the series over at Fear Zone.
